Performance psychology focuses on how your mental skills affect performance, for e.g. how anxiety can affect your performance in a grand final. It also focuses on how your performance can affect your mental skills, such as, how a poor performance can lower your confidence. The purpose of this service is to provide you with strategies and tools to help you cope and thrive in competitive situations or life in general.
When a performer’s skills and ability are matched with their opponent, it is one's mental skills that are usually the distinguishing factor between success and failure. Mental skills, along with physical skills, require training and practice. By investing time and energy into developing your mental skills you are putting yourself in the best position to be successful. It is never too late to develop your mental skills!
The ultimate therapy goal is to assist you in a way that can help you to function effectively, reach your goals, enjoy your experience and ultimately be the performer/person that you want to be.
